The geological structure in National Chongqing Jinyun Mt. Nature Reserve is fastigiated arc structure of Huayin Mt. in fold belt in the east of Sichuan province. The fold belt consists of three anticlines of North North East～South South West and double synclines, and structural unit consists of Niubi gorge, Wentang gorge and Guangyin—Zhongliang mountain gorge in northwest to southeast anticline. There are the syncline of broad Deng River and syncline valley of Beibei district, three anticlines formed by Jialing River crosscut from northeast to southeast between anticlines and double synclines, so it forms three hilly gorges,i.e. Niubi gorge, Wentang gorge and Wentang gorge. Cliff rock is between double sides of the gorges with deep & serene grand scenery like a miniature of Three Gorges in Yangtze River with the title“small three gorges in Jialing River”. The fold belt is formed in Sichuan movement in the 3rd early period in final stage in the Cretaceous period. There are stratum of Triassic, Jurassic period and the Quaternary Period, but Jinyun Mt. is a part of an anticline in Wentang gorge-one of three anticlines. Equal to small three gorges below the mountain, it possesses gorgeous scenery, the altitude of 200—952．2M and relative height of 752.2M.

South section of Jinyun Mt. is box chine with flat top. West side of entire mountain is relaxed with about 20°gradient, east abrupt side, 60°～70° gradient, so plants in double sides is not similar with plant.
