Chongqing Arboretum was located in semitropical zone with excellent regional vegetation in evergreen broadleaved forest, typical features, various plant species. Many of them are living fossil, i.e. Henry emmenopterys, Lasianthus trichophlebus, many-flowered may-appple,ect. According to the survey, there are 246 branches, 992 classes and 1966 varieties, including over 50 national grade one, two and three protecting rare plants, i.e. gingkgo, Chinese tulip tree, Tree fern, ect. There are centuries-old yew with 136cm breast diameter, centuries-old cherry bay and masson pine,ect as well as abound components. There are six plant types, 32 formations and 54 associations. In water area of Dai Lake in Jinyun Mt., there are 105 varieties in 19 classes, including double new varieties which are not listed in “Freshwater Alga in China”.
